Part-Time Youth Gymnastics Instructor

We are looking to grow our small but mighty team. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to start Livingston Gym in 2023. We need help supporting our growing client base and our mission of promoting active, healthy lifestyles for children. In this role you’ll spend most of your time planning and leading gymnastic classes. This role is starting out with part-time hours (up to 30 hours per week depending on your availability). Responsibilities:
Class Instruction:
Plan and lead engaging and age-appropriate gym classes for children ages 6 months to 12 years old
Facilitate weekend birthday parties
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes
Create a positive and supportive environment that encourages children to be active and have fun
Customer Interaction:
Interact professionally and positively with parents and guardians during drop-offs and pickups
Communicate effectively with parents about class schedules, activities, and children’s progress
Administrative Tasks:
Assist with administrative duties as needed, such as scheduling, registration, and maintaining class records if needed
Help keep the gym tidy and orderly
Experience
Experience working with children in a teaching or coaching capacity
Passion for promoting children's health, fitness, and well-being
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Creative mindset
Membership or certification with sports association such as Gymnastics USA preferred

Location: Conveniently located in Livingston, NJ with free parking and public transportation options
Compensation: $20-$30/hr depending on experience
